Emma Watson private photos stolen in 'hack'

Emma Watson is taking legal action after dozens of private images of her appeared online.

A spokesman for the Beauty and the Beast star confirmed the pictures - which show her trying on various outfits - were stolen.

"Photos from a clothes fitting Emma had with a stylist a couple of years ago have been stolen," her publicist said.

"They are not nude photographs. Lawyers have been instructed and we are not commenting further."

News of the theft comes a week after Watson sparked fierce debate over whether she was anti-feminist for exposing part of her breasts in a Vanity Fair photoshoot.

The actress was previously threatened in 2014 with a leak of nude images, after a speech she gave on gender equality as a UN Ambassador for Women.

Speaking at a Facebook event in 2015, she said: "I knew it was a hoax, I knew the pictures didn't exist.

"The minute I stepped up and talked about women's rights I was immediately threatened - within less than 12 hours I was receiving threats."

Last month, a man in the US was jailed for nine months for hacking into the online accounts of celebrities, including Jennifer Lawrence, and stealing private information, including nude videos and photos.

Pregnant Ciara Involved in a Car Accident

UPDATE: Ciara is speaking out following her car accident.

Ciara, who is expecting her first child with husband Russell Wilson, was involved in a car accident in Los Angeles Friday. 

The "I Bet" singer was driving a white Mercedes SUV when she tried to make a left turn and a gray Volvo T-boned her vehicle on the passenger side, E! News confirms. Photographs at the scene show Ciara talking on the phone immediately following the accident. E! News confirmed that neither Ciara nor the other driver sustained any injuries. LAPD tells us that a traffic unit arrived on the scene to assist both parties in the exchanging of contact information. There will be no investigation.

"Ciara and the baby are doing well," her rep tells E! News. "The driver was illegally in the bus lane and hit the right side of her car."

According to an eyewitness, Ciara appeared "calm" while the other driver seemed way more stunned. "They shook hands and were nice to each other it looked like, no drama," our source shared. "Ciara wasn't crying or panicked or anything."

Ciara hasn't revealed her due date, but she did joke to HarpersBazaar.com that she will be delivering two babies: her unborn child and an upcoming album.

She is already a mom to son Future Zahir, whom she shares with ex Future. The singer and rapper called off their engagement in a messy split, but she since has found complete bliss with her NFL hubby.

"If someone's not supporting you and your vision and your dream—whether it's your relationship partner, your friend, whomever—then you've got to make sure to keep it moving," the singer told HarpersBazaar.com. "If people aren't lifting you up, even if you're the strongest person in the world, eventually it does chip away at you. You don't even realize that you're losing yourself. And that's the scariest place to be in life.

"I don't want to lose myself. I love myself too much," Ciara adds. "I love life too much."

With a newfound outlook on life and a strong relationship to boot, Ciara is ready to introduce her son to his future younger brother/sister. 

"He'll randomly pull my shirt up and be like, 'I want to see the baby. Hello, baby. How you doing, baby? I love you, baby. OK, talk to you later, baby. Bye, bye,'" she gushes. "Then he'll kiss me on my belly and put my shirt back down."

George Michael died of natural causes

George Michael died as a result of heart and liver disease, a coroner has confirmed.

The pop star was suffering from dilated cardiomyopathy with myocarditis and fatty liver, according to Darren Salter, senior coroner for Oxfordshire.

The singer died aged 53 on Christmas Day at his home in Goring-on-Thames, Oxfordshire.

Because there was a "natural cause of death", the coroner said there was no need for an inquest.

Thames Valley Police originally said his death was unexplained but not suspicious and an initial post-mortem examination was "inconclusive".

On Tuesday, the coroner said in a statement: "Inquiries into the death of George Michael have been concluded and the final post-mortem report received.

"As there is a confirmed natural cause of death, being dilated cardiomyopathy with myocarditis and fatty liver, the investigation is being discontinued and there is no need for an inquest or any further enquiries.

"No further updates will be provided and the family requests the media and public respect their privacy."

The medical terms used on death certificates outline the cause of death, but not all the risk factors that have led up to it.

George Michael's lists three conditions: dilated cardiomyopathy, myocarditis and fatty liver.

This means his heart was enlarged, weakened and inflamed. The muscle wasn't doing the job of pumping blood as well as it should have.

His liver was also abnormal, containing unhealthy collections of fat. There are many possible causes for this - heavy alcohol use is one.

At the weekend, the singer's former partner Kenny Goss was quoted as saying: "I think his body just gave up. All these years, it was just weak."

He told The Sunday Mirror: "We just want closure, we want the funeral to happen, it's been a long time now."

Fadi Fawaz, the singer's partner at the time of his death, told the Telegraph in late December he had found the star "lying peacefully in bed".

After the cause of death was revealed on Tuesday, Fawaz responded to weeks of speculation by posting a photo of himself with Michael on Twitter along with the words: "The Truth is out..."

Following the coroner's statement, Thames Valley Police said it had closed its investigation into Michael's death.

"As the cause of death was natural, no further action is proposed or required," it said.

Michael made his name with pop group Wham! in the 1980s and went on to enjoy huge success as a solo performer.

Metro publisher denies any link to fake news that defamed Hadiqa Kiani

LONDON: Associated Newspapers, one of the UK's largest publishers of national newspapers and consumer websites, has said it has nothing to do with the fake news that falsely linked Pakistani singing star Hadiqa Kiani to drugs smuggling.

Associated Newspapers publishes the Daily Mail, The Mail on Sunday and urban daily Metro, the third most-read national newspaper. The fake news about Hadiqa Kiyani was published by a website called Metro UK, falsely claiming that she had been arrested at London's Heathrow Airport for trying to smuggle two kilograms of cocaine into the UK. The news went viral as soon as it went up on metro-uk.com website because free-circulating Metro is widely known to the UK’s urban readers. Only a few people, who are aware of the print media market of the UK, knew that the Metro-UK is a hoax website but the vast majority fell for the fake news and some TV channels and newspapers in Pakistan ran this as breaking news, causing distress and defamation to the singer. 

Now, publishers of the genuine Metro UK have stated that it has no connection whatsoever with the website that defamed Hadiqa Kiani and doesn’t carry the responsibility for the content published on the fake website.

The Associated Newspapers spokesman told Geo News:  “The website you refer to below, metro-uk.com, has nothing to do with the Associated Newspapers site, metro.co.uk, which has not published any story about Hadiqa Kiyani.”

The spokesman said that it was making the statement to clarify the matter and to stress that it will never publish anything libellous against Hadiqa Kiani or anyone else unless there was some factual evidence in the story.

Yesterday, Hadiqa Kiani announced that she will file a defamation suit “against Metro.co.uk for allowing fake site “metro-uk.com” to defame her and tarnish the image of Pakistan by airing false news regarding her arrest”. Geo News has been told that the Associated Newspapers group has yet to receive any letter from Kiani’s lawyer Barrister Syed Ali Zafar, who is based in Pakistan. For a successful engagement with the Associated Newspapers, Hadiqa will have to find a lawyer in the UK territory carrying local license.

In the legal notice, Barrister Zafar has threatened ‘metro.co.uk’ that ‘metro-uk.com’ is using the name ‘metro’, which gives the impression that this fake site, which in the past has also been used to create false news against other important personalities, either belongs to or is associated with or operated with the consent of metro.co.uk.

Barrister Zafar has accordingly asked metro.co.uk to clarify their relationship with this website in writing. “In case metro-uk.com is not related to them, the metro.co.uk is also required to list the steps they are taking in order to have the website removed under cyber laws.”

The press statement states that “in the end the legal notice states that in case metro.co.uk does not respond, then they should be ready to face a defamation suit in which case damages of 50 Million pounds shall be claimed,” but the fact is that the cap on defamation claim stands at under £300,000 and “£50 million” defamation doesn’t exist at all. 

The hoax site metro-uk.com continues to carry fake news on Hadiqa Kiani on the front page. An inquiry into the metro-uk.com shows that this website is not even registered in the UK.

Metro-uk.com has been registered by WILD WEST DOMAINS LLC and a company called Domains by Proxy LLC in Arizona, 14455 N. Hayden Road, Scottsdale, Postal Code: 85260, USA.

It's not clear whether the Associated Newspapers ever took action against this site for copying their name in violation of the copyright rules or whether Hadiqa Kiani’s lawyer has taken action against this site for retraction, apology and damages.
